No matter what type of art you do, your creativity can improve with another form of inspired work.Visiting an art museum, witnessing a beautiful landscape, or poring over a imaginative novel propels us to open ourselves and express what we feel within. This article will address music, for it is the most simple to attain and can be used during the entire process, from the conception of the idea to the birth of your work.   Each type of music can have an effect on your style or approach. I suggest choosing a music that helps you get into the world in which you want to be and imagine. This can come from many different genres, so be open minded. I will seperate the music into different groups, but feel
free to choose any that appeal to you. And, as always, suggestions are most welcome. Thank you and I hope you will be inspired!

Music List

My favorite art is imaginative and would be classified as fantasy. So in this group I will list what songs inspire me the most to create that world. My interests are very drastically different however, so choose what you like.

I love Loreena Mckennitt she has a beautiful voice,  and she explores many different cultures to inspire her music. Some of her music sounds Celtic which is one of my favorites, there are some unique instruments used, it is all so original and the orchestra is incredible.  I will list the album songs from Book of secrets I love each one:

Loreena Mckennitt:
  1. Prologue– 4:22
  2. The Mummer's Dance – 6:07
  3.  Skellig – 6:07
  4.  Marco Polo – 5:15
  5.  The Highwayman (Lyrics by Alfred Noyes, abridged by Loreena McKennit) – 10:19
  6.  La Serenissima – 5:09
  7.  Night Ride across the Caucasus – 8:30
  8.  Dante's Prayer – 7:11
Also more songs I loike from her:

The Mystics Dream

You can listen to any of her many beautiful albums on her website: http://www.quinlanroad.com/homepage/index.asp

Another one of my favorite album's is very different, and not for every one's taste. It was one of those albums I grew to love and never have grown out of. The lyrics are very interesting. But it takes me to the forest, and it is also romantic yet sexual in nature,  which doesn't bother me although might bother some people. The album is October Rust by Type O Negative. You would consider this band to be Rock and it is sort of 80's in a way, but this album is very unique. I have to say I love the whole album and they way they set it up its nice to listen to from start to finish so here is the order...the first two songs are nothing, pretty much.

Type O Negative
  1. Bad Ground – 0:38
  2. (Untitled) - 0:21
  3. Love You to Death - 7:08
  4. Be My Druidess - 5:25
  5. Green Man- 5:47
  6. Red Water (Christmas Mourning) - 6:48
  7. My Girlfriend's Girlfiend - 3:46
  8. Die With Me - 7:12
  9. Burnt Flowers Fallen - 6:09
  10. In Praise of Bacchus - 7:36
  11. Cinnamon Girl (Neil Young) - 4:00
  12. The Glorious Liberation of the People's Technocratic Republic of Vinnland by the Combined Forces of the United Territories of Europa - 1:07
